1 Thing that I learned this week:
Everyone has their own journey in life. When we compete with others, we are losing our authenticity. When I launched my first book, "25 Small Habits," I was hesitant to tell my peers that I had published a book because it was less than 100 pages. I always thought that books were supposed to be huge, with 300 pages. But then I overcame my fears and published it in the public domain. Now, it's a huge hit, and even Penguin Publishing has taken over the publishing rights.
This happened even this week when I was about to launch my other book called "Aligned Work." Again, I was hesitant because it only had 31 pages. I believed in the topics discussed, but I was comparing it with other authors. I then realized that overcoming this fear is not a one-time job, it won't just vanish through one act. It will stay with me, but I have the choice to overcome it. Fortunately, I defeated my self-doubt again and overcame it.
Now, I want you to reflect on yourself. Do you push your ideas away because they don't fit into the system? Do you compare your life with others? If so, it's time to change.
If yes, then it's time to change.
1 Quote that made me think:
"In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order" - Carl Jung
1 Tip:
Taking action is necessary to overcome fear. While education helps you understand, it's through your actions that you condition your brain in a different way. It may be tough in the beginning, but start with baby steps.
