Well, the truth is many face such situations. But very rarely people confront saying that they are dealing with low self esteem. The first step to come out of this problem is by confronting.

“Low self esteem is like driving through life with hand-brake on” - Maxwell maltz

While most of them advise, by saying "Don't think about it, too much" "Oh, stop crticizing yourself", I would disagree to it.

Before any sickness the body warns us with a symptom, If you deny it, sooner or later it turns into a disease. Likewise the mind is throwing these symptoms at you.

Take a pause, self reflect and clear it out of your system.

"Kill the monster while it is little" - Tony Robbins

Let's look at the causes before you jump into solution. Your low self esteem could be a reason because of these 3 traits.

1. Comparing with parents

If you are an earning adult, are you comparing the life you lead with your parents? Do you think you are progressing slower compared to your father or mother?

2. Comparing with Peers

Your peers might be people who are in your same age group, School friends, College friends or collegues. If any person in this gang becomes a celebrity or attains a good status, Do you feel inferior then? Do you avoid/ think twice to attend reunions?

3. Validation during Childhood

How was your childhood period? DId your parents ask you to secure more marks? Did they compare you with your other friends. Often times the deepest scars are found in the childhood which later becomes one's character.

Solution:

Where you able to find any of the above mentioned qualities? If yes, then let me remind you of something. Every beings in this world is different from one another. Each of us have a certain role to play here.

The underlying problem of the self esteem is comparing yourself with others. It could be your parent or peers, If you compare then defenitly you could spot some one who is doing better than yourself.

You should realize the fact that you are unique in your own way. If all the worms in this world worry about not being as giant as an elephant and not perform thier role in this world, the entire human race would extint in few years.

It applies to all the beings in this world, each of them play a significant role which connects with other beings.

All that you have to do is identify yourself. Rather than imitating someone else, Identify what is that you want to do in this world.

You are unique and you should embrace it. Like I always used to say, If Ar rahman worried that he was not a good mathematician, he could not have become the legend he is currently.

You will have to identify this identity of yourself and nourish it. I have designed a course which would help you to identify yourself, It's availble in udemy - Click here

Now, Smile and carry on with your day.
