I am a movie buff. I watch movies very often and learn from them. Let me share with you the list of the top 10 movies which shooked me!
1. Cloud Atlas
My all-time favourite is this one. I have watched this over 4 times to date. Cloud atlas is not like a regular movie, It intertwines different time periods simultaneously due to which you need to be well aware and patient to understand the movie.
This movie talks about reincarnation, love, slavery, freedom fighting and much more. I couldn't fit in everything that they have expressed in this movie. So I would recommend you to watch it for yourself to judge.

Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present. By each crime and every kindness we birth our future
2. The Discovery
What happens after we die? Is it all black? Or do we transcend into the heavens? This movie gives a different perspective on this subject. Not just intellectual understanding of what happens but also how our emotions are connected with the aftermath of a death.
Sit down and relax while the whole movie unveils to you what the plot is.
My favourite line in this movie:
It's our instinct to search for meaning, when there is none. It's our instict to create meaning and we just lie to ourselves.
3. The Matrix - Trilogy
I have mainly watched this movie for the fight sequences and for the graphics. Later when I got into the realm of philosophy and spirituality I got re-introduced to this movie. I would encourage you to watch the movie "Animatrix" before watching the trilogy, to get the whole understanding of what is conveyed in the movie.

4. The Lego Movie
I thought it of as a cartoon movie for children, but it blew my mind when I watched it. This movie has a different take on spirituality and how we perceive reality to be. Do watch this movie with subtitles, the beauty is hidden in the details and this movie has some really important dialogue spoken so subtle that you may miss it if not given attention.
My favourite line in this movie:
The only thing anyone needs to be special is to believe that you can be. I know that sounds like a cat poster, but it's true.
5. The Revolver
Who is in control of your lives? The voice which says "I want this.... or I want that ....." who is it exactly? Is it you? or are you hypnotized into believing it to be? Well, this movie may look like a movie where there are gunshots and mafia gangs but ultimately it is about how the hero of the movie defeats his ego and is set free from the constant need for acknowledgement.
The greatest enemy will hide in the last place you would ever look.
